A big obstacle for starting a food business is the very high cost of setting up a commercial kitchen. Flanner House Shared Kitchen is here to alleviate that obstacle, and move you toward fulfillment of your dreams. A fully equipped, commercially licensed, shared use kitchen in Indianapolis, IN., allows you to build your business on an as needed basis with lowered risk and low start-up costs. Flanner House Kitchen is a 1500 square foot facility, available for rent. We offer a complete kitchen plus, secured dry, cool and frozen storage is available to rent by the month. We also offer space that you may rent for tastings, classes or social events.

Each customer is responsible for cleaning the kitchen including all equipment, tables and floors. Flanner House will supply the necessary cleaning supplies and will be responsible for the deep cleaning required by the Health Department.  Before reserving the kitchen, each customer must be licensed by Marion County Public Health Department .

Steps to licensing:

  1. Contact Department of Food & Consumer Safety at the Marion County Public Health Department.

  3. Complete page 6 of the application & email it to   sgreen@flannerhouse.org

  4. Flanner House will complete Page 6 and email it back to you

  5. Send the completed application, including Page 6 to 

Marion County Public Health Department
